While we wait for the official release of useable stairs for moviestorm I have decided to do some experimenting of my own, testing the ability to go up and down stairs aswell as walk on upper levels.

My stairs are only quick prototypes that I have thrown together in sketchup. They do work however there are some little issues so far which I am going to investigate and see if I can solve or find a work around, these issues are:

The puppet right now will only climb one step at a time, so plenty of way points have to be used, if you just click at the top you do get the option to move there however a path is not created. To create a path the marks have to be close for each step.

Not sure why but you will notice that the fountain animation stops while the puppet climbs the stairs, then resumes when he reaches the top, then again it stops as he goes down until he reaches the bottom. Very odd and not sure why that happens.

Also on upper levels as seen in the video when making the puppet turn on the spot they briefly fall through the floor then pop back up, I am trying to work out why and see if I can fix it (no garuntees though).

Anyway I deliberately left the faults in view to show that this works but there can be problems.
