Set in WWII France shortly after D-Day. A unit of demoralised German troops who would rather be with their loved ones, instead of fighting this war that they realised is lost. Go to a bar in the nearby town to drown their sorrows. The local people are celebrating with champagne, because they know that liberation is nearby. The song Café Culture has always made me think of France since I wrote it. There are several intentional continuity errors in this film. How many can you spot?
